Our Kent Medium Contract Sand has a total sand content of 96%, with the remaining 4% composed of silt and clay. The free-draining nature of this sand is evidenced by the predominance of medium sand particles (0.25-0.50mm) and its saturated hydraulic conductivity of 294mm/hr.

This contract sand is also ideal for a wide range of landscape applications where a very free-draining subsoil is required, including the planting of larger root-balled trees in both soft and hard landscape situations, podium landscapes, SuDS Rain Gardens and SuDS Bio Retention Systems.
