Extensively used by landscape gardeners, developers and trade customers for a wide range of general landscaping applications when a premium soil is simply over specified, our Contract 10 is a good quality economically priced soil which provides a suitable option for many landscaping circumstances where price is important.

We ensure that the same care and attention is applied to the quality of our economy grade soils as is given to our premium soils. Bury Hill Contract 10 is screened to 10mm and blended from natural soils, inert single source sands and organic PAS100 compost (the British Standard for composts), which produces a good quality general-purpose contract grade sandy loam with balanced nutrient levels and good drainage properties. Please note, that unlike many soils which have large percentages of compost, our contract soils have a controlled organic content and are fully fit for purpose.

Bury Hill Contract 10 is an economy soil and you should therefore expect a slightly higher percentage of small stones which are, in the main, a mix of sandstone and iron stone pellets which will break down to dust over time, these being a natural bi-product of the natural inert sands that are used in the blending of our Contract 10.

We generally stock many thousands of tons of our contract soils and are able to supply large, multi-thousand-ton orders throughout much of the southeast, quickly and efficiently, at very competitive prices.

This product is tested and accredited by the UK’s leading soil scientist to BS3882:2015 for topsoil.
