YOU HAVE ASKED ME TO COMMENT ON YOUR SERVICE. I DO SO AS FOLLOWS: As I recall, you were recommended to me by Rigby Taylor who were unable to supply me. They were really helpful and supplied the seed and fertiliser that I needed with remarkable speed. Your own service was equally good and I hopelessly underestimated the quantity of soil I needed. You delivered two lots; the first of three tons and the second of four. Telephone handling of the order was great and the advice given on the type of topsoil was much appreciated. Delivery times for both loads were quicker than I could have expected. As to quality, the first load was light in colour with presumably a sand content, which I had been advised was what was needed. Suffice it to say that when I inspected it this morning, some two weeks after putting it down, the seed was coming through beautifully. It’s looking really good. As to the second delivery, this was much darker in colour with presumably less sand, though the same specification as the first. It was heavier to work, though looking very good when down. As the application of the soil was a week later than the first delivery, I am not expecting germination for another few days. I have no doubt that weather permitting, it will be as good as the first. In summary many thanks for the superb service that you gave me and the quality of the product. My only complaint is that, though I had some help with the application, shifting seven tons when you are 71 is a test! Happily one that I passed! I appreciate that you can’t do anything about the inherent weight of your product, but I am still aching! Sincerely Peter Dale
