Whilst our best-selling Organic Soil Conditioner is packed full of nutrients, typical of many organic composts, this rich material is not free draining which can cause problems for some types of plantings. To resolve this issue, we have blended this super rich organic product with a natural 2-5 mm Horticultural Grit to create a nutrient packed, free draining compost for enriching all planting soils.

Our Organic Soil Conditioner is guaranteed to be Peat Free. This finely screened Organic Soil Improver is one of our most popular composting products and it is produced using only natural composted organic materials which are contaminate free.

Fully certified to BSI PAS100:2018 (the British Standard for composted materials), our Organic Soil Conditioner is a friable, dark, rich, fine compost packed full of natural nutrients and minerals which will slowly release into the soil over time, greatly improving the natural properties and performance of the soil.

Richer in Organic matter than either horse manure or mushroom compost and finely screened to 10mm, the addition of our fine 2-5mm Horticultural Grit hugely improves drainage, making this specialist free draining organic rich compost ideal for use in a wide range of planting applications as well as mulching and dressing beds and borders.

Utilisation of this product will significantly increase the organic matter in the soil and improve water retention whilst naturally boosting nutrient and nitrogen levels and enhancing and restoring the structure and stability of the soil.

For general soil improvement, spread a 50mm layer of Bury Hill Organic Soil Conditioner over the area to be treated and fork or rotavate it into the soil. For extremely poor or nutrient starved soils, consideration should be given to increasing the application to 75mm or even 100mm.
