Lawn Rootzone (T)

SUITABLE FOR:
• High Use Lawns & Grass Areas
• Lawns with fast drainage requirements
• Lawns & Grass areas requiring a compaction resistant rootzone

Our Lawn Rootzone (T) is specifically engineered for high-performance lawns and grass areas that require excellent compaction resistance and fast drainage. Featuring a total sand content of 96%, predominantly composed of medium sand (0.25-0.50 mm), this rootzone ensures fast water movement, as confirmed by a saturated hydraulic conductivity of 325 mm/hr, recorded under a degree of consolidation.

Additionally, laboratory testing confirms that Bury Hill’s Lawn Topsoil (T) is adequately supplied with organic matter and most major plant nutrients, with the exception of total nitrogen levels, which can be remedied by a routine fertiliser application.

Please note that rootzones with high sand content typically exhibit good aeration, fast drainage, and compaction-resistant properties; however, they generally have reduced water and nutrient retention capacities. Therefore, it is important to maintain your lawn with seasonal fertiliser applications and adequate irrigation.

If you require a lawn rootzone with an initial higher level of nitrogen and a slower rate of drainage, you may wish to consider our Lawn Topsoil (PL)
