Our Kent Medium/Coarse Contract Sand has a total sand content of 97%, followed by 3% Clay & Silt. The free-draining nature of this sand is confirmed by the predominance of medium sand (0.25-0.50mm) followed by coarse sand (0.50-1.0mm) along with the saturated hydraulic conductivity of 358mm/hr.
This sand is also ideal for a wide range of landscape applications where a very free-draining subsoil is required, including the planting of larger root-balled trees in both soft and hard landscape situations, podium landscapes, SuDS Rain Gardens and SuDS Bio Retention Systems.
